Description
中文（臺灣）：過溝地區的歷史，可以追溯至原居住於現今臺南市後壁區菁寮的李福，開墾的時間約為清嘉慶年間（1796-1820），當地廟宇相當密集。境主過溝建德宮的李王爺神尊由來，是清嘉慶年間由一名大陸人士攜帶途經溝庄，被虔誠的信徒得知，希望這位人士將神像留置過溝供奉，後經過三杯取得李王爺同意，從此神尊留置於過溝，成為過溝庄開基主神。

「火燈夜巡」民國100年列入嘉義縣縣定民俗，是個有歷史與公民教育意義的無形文化資產。於清朝時期，建德宮由一個敗庄的廟宇得到一個香爐，後被嘉應子弟發現，嘉應廟懷疑建德宮偷竊，因此嘉應廟與建德宮為爭奪刻有嘉應的香爐引起械鬥死傷無數，最後由南鯓鯤代天巡狩王爺的協調，建德宮將香爐給嘉應廟，由南鯓鯤代天巡狩王爺贈與一個同樣年代的香爐給建德宮。

當年械鬥太過慘烈，因此鬧鬼之說喧囂塵上，加上境內有三大公堀，溺水事件頻發，因此，建德宮主神李大府千歲指示以安營、夜巡的方式，保衛村莊寧靜與居民平安，當時候的照明設備是火把，也就是火燈，火燈夜巡的活動因此而來。
