Description
中文(繁體):子蝠何觚(商代晚期),臺北市士林區陽明山次分區臨溪里(雙溪庄外雙溪)
English: In the 13th century, Chinese bronze vessels of antiquarian form began to surface in Japan. For example, hu wine vessels with double handles or tubular handles of the Yuan dynasty were used as flower vessels in Japan. By the 15th and 16th centuries, Japanese artisans were producing bronze vessels on a large scale, imitating Chinese antiquities from Yuan and Ming dynasties. Among them, vessels such as hu, gu and ding, as well as the animal mask and wave patterns were particular popular. This was also when Mitsu-gusoku, a trio of Buddhist altar articles consisted of a flower vase (gu), incense burner (ding) and a candle holder, became widespread.
