Summary

Description彰化銀行總行.jpg	中文（繁體）：彰化銀行（總行營業部）仿古希臘與羅馬古典主義，營造出穩重典雅的氣象，外觀採巨大柱式，表現出銀行值得信賴的形象。彰化銀行創設於1905年（明治38年），設於彰化廳。當時日本政府為了解決「一田二主」現象，清理租權交付龐大公債。以吳汝祥、林獻堂等中臺灣地方士紳，為解決公債事宜，而集資22萬日圓作為資本額，組織設立「株式會社彰化銀行」，是當時唯一不將總行設於臺北的銀行。 1910年總行遷往臺中廳（現址），1938年臺中總行落成。
