Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Tōmatsu House (東松家住宅 , Tōmatsu-ka jūtaku) is a former merchant house that used to be located close to the Hori Canal in Funairi-chō (船入町) in Nakamura-ku, Nagoya. It was constructed in 1901. The area suffered heavy damage during the air bombardments in World War II, particularly in 1944 and 1945. The house survived and was relocated to the museum Meiji-mura in the 1970's. It has been designated by the government as an Important Cultural Property.
