Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Hakka people refer to the Earth God as "Da Bo Gong", the local protector deity who presides over land, waterways, and farmland and is closely related to the lives of farmers. When Hakka people migrated to Southeast Asia, they brought the Bo Gong faith from their homeland with them. They combined it with the commemoration and worship of pioneering leaders and sought acceptance and protection from local deities or landlords, thus forming the unique "Da Bo Gong Worship" culture.
