Description
中文（臺灣）：在日本治理臺灣時期的協天宮內，除了有吳光忠先生揮毫所著之「後山保障」的匾額外，亦保存了許多重要的文物，例如大正年間的古匾「聖德如天」、「大哉厚德」、「普濟羣黎」等，更甚至有極為罕見的緬甸玉佛與日本臨濟宗大本山妙心寺所贈之「今上天皇御壽牌」。可見協天宮對於當時的居民與信徒，是相當重要的廟宇。而在皇民化運動中，協天宮可能因為其改為日本佛教之「淨土宗出張所」才沒有過多的損壞，然而，當時的正殿主祀從關聖帝君改為了佛祖。本資料出自於《顧我洄瀾：花蓮歷史影像集》，此書由花蓮出身的葉柏強先生撰寫，是一本擁有大量歷史影像的書籍，於2016年（民國105年）出版，可以透過此書了解花蓮的城市變遷樣貌。
