Description
中文（臺灣）：1955年2月8日至11日間，位於浙江台州的大陳列島居民因國共戰爭而撤退到台灣，在基隆港上岸並短暫停留後，即安置在全台12個縣市，建立35處大陳新村供大陳民眾居住。1年後的1956年2月8日，亦即大陳居民撤退來台一周年的日子，各地大陳新村共舉落成典禮。大陳人對於安全撤退到台灣來，生活雖困頓，但對撤退來台一事卻視為是愛國之舉並充滿感恩。在各個大陳新村中，均可見到頌揚政府德政的碑碣。 　　在礁溪成功新村入口處蔣中正塑像底座，除沿革碑外，尚嵌有三方的頌德碑。一面題以「恩同再造」，以感謝時任國防會議副秘書長的蔣經國；一面題以「惠及吾民」，以感謝時任台灣省主席的嚴家淦；一面則題以「沐德懷仁」，以感謝時任宜蘭縣長的甘阿炎。
