Summary[edit]

Description
中文(繁體):中生代白堊紀(Cretaceous,出土於江西省)竊蛋龍下目(Oviraptorosaurian)蛋巢化石
English: The name Oviraptor, or "egg seizer" was given in the 1920s by a paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews when a fossil of an Oviraptor was discovered atop a partial clutch of eggs that were thought to belong to a different dinosaur, hence the name. An oviraptor embryo discovered in the egg type found in 1920 concluded that the eggs in the 1920 fossil clutch were indeed oviraptor eggs, suggested the animal was actually brooding instead of stealing eggs.
