Description
中文（繁體）：「敬字亭」， 最早敬字亭的出現與科舉制度有關，所以與考試功名、文運有關的文神都是敬字亭所供奉的神祇，另外也有惜字亭、聖蹟亭、敬聖亭、文筆亭、字紙爐等名稱，雖然 說法各異，但主要都是用來焚化寫有文字的廢紙或書籍；美濃敬字亭是磚造六角形三層式的平面格局，造型古樸優美，內政部於民國八十年五月二十四日公告指定為 三級古蹟。
