中文（臺灣）：本建築創建於1919（大正8）年，為花蓮港木材株式會社，1929（昭和4）年殖產局營林所東部出張所遷至此地，1942（昭和17）年再改稱為「花蓮港山林事業所」；本建物為日本瓦屋頂、洗石子外牆的和洋混合建築，仿文藝復興時期風格，幾何對稱平面和優美比例的弧拱廊柱，具古典語彙，外觀簡單大方，素雅端莊，庭園內樟樹、瓊崖海棠樹為伴，院落植滿羊蹄甲花、攀葉植物、綠意盎然、草香瀰漫具保存價值。為日治時期重要的林業產業建築代表。
