中文：此照片攝於1958年，後排左一為龍果華護理長，李桂芳主任、劉俊教官，前排右一是精神科護理主任譚淑舜，中間為蔣宋美齡。

蔣宋美齡帶領婦聯會及華僑來到國軍北投醫院慰問，適逢八二三砲戰期間，臺北的三軍總醫院人滿為患，於是就有部分病人轉到北投來。當年社會上的風氣十分緊張，軍隊們反而不那麼緊張。照片中的護士們為管理階層，才得以跟夫人合照。
當時在蔣夫人的號召下，向各方募款、各界響應，先後捐贈眷舍及職務官舍十八期，總計興建五萬三千八百三十八戶。婦聯會於民國53年捐贈中心新村建造七棟（共18戶）眷舍。

北投中心新村為三軍總醫院北投分院的附屬眷村，前身為日軍臺北衛戍病院北投分院暨轉地療養所，以溫泉療養聲名遠播，民國41年發展精神科聞名。
