Description
中文：這時蔣宋美齡（1897-2003）與尼克森夫人（Thelma Catherine "Pat" Ryan Nixon，1912-1993）的影像，拍攝時間1953（民國42年），拍攝地點推測為士林官邸。

時任美國副總統尼克森（Richard Milhous Nixon，1913-1994）及夫人（Thelma Catherine "Pat" Ryan Nixon，1912-1993）11月8日抵台進行五天行程，蔣中正（1887-1975）總統及蔣宋美齡至松山機場歡迎，並特邀其入住士林官邸，待以上賓之禮。此時正是韓戰結束，尼克森以艾森豪（Dwight David Eisenhower，1890-1969）政府的副總統身份首次訪問臺灣，此舉也代表了美國圍堵共產勢力的決定，旋即於隔年和中華民國政府簽訂「中美共同防禦條約」。特別的是，直到尼克森1968（民國57）年成為共和黨總統候選人提名前曾七次來台。

此為中華民國婦女聯合會（簡稱婦聯會，原名中華婦女反共抗俄聯合會）所印製「向蔣夫人致敬」明信片之一。
