中文（臺灣）：五年理番政策中，最重要的太魯閣討伐戰在1914年（大正3年）蓄勢待發，總督府投資大量的人力與資源，並且在發動戰爭前的1913年（大正2年），對太魯閣山區做了非常詳盡的調查與規劃。總督府打算分東西線進攻，將內太魯閣地區包圍。圖片中顯示的是位於東線的軍隊駐紮在花蓮港廳的情形，地點已不可考，但從圖片可以得知，當時為了太魯閣戰役所調配的人數之多，滿地的帳篷、營帳整齊劃一的排列，人來人往的景象充斥著整個花蓮港街。突然有大量人口湧入的花蓮港街，那一陣子常常發生商店與軍伕軍人間的衝突，因此那個時期的店家一到傍晚就關門休息，避免衝突發生。此圖為臺灣日日新報寫真班攝影。本資料出自於《顧我洄瀾：花蓮歷史影像集》，此書由花蓮出身的葉柏強先生撰寫，是一本擁有大量歷史影像的書籍，於2016年（民國105年）出版，可以透過此書了解花蓮的城市變遷樣貌。 |
