中文（臺灣）：早期龜山島居民，無論是從海外移居，或從台灣轉居者，皆因交通不易，資源短缺，故未能將其所信奉之神明請來，僅隨身攜帶香火袋保佑平安。直至島上黃家先祖黃吳阿柑從福建興化請來一尊哪吒神像，恭奉於自宅。而後太子爺逐漸成為村民們信仰中心，於是廟方出資向黃家中購買神像後奉於正殿，成為太子爺廟。農曆九月九日是太子爺的生日，也是漁季更換的日子，過去會請歌仔戲戲班到島上演出，以漁團為單位分攤經費，而酬神的一切事宜，則由公認漁獲最多的船頭家負責。1938年因一次歌仔戲班應邀前往演出發生船難，以致戲班到龜山島演出意願低落。此後每逢太子爺生日，居民為感謝神明一年來的保佑，改由每艘船頭家出錢出力共同張羅，並以糯米做成「米糕龜」祭拜太子爺。十數年後，附近海面飄來一艘小船，船上有祭祀媽祖神龕，居民將祀奉於廟裡與原哪吒並列。因島民多以討海維生，又媽祖神階較高，故尊為主神，拱蘭宮遂由太子廟改成媽祖廟。 |
