中文（臺灣）：陳中和墓於民國八十五年（1996年）8月27日公告為古蹟，為臺灣現存日治時期所建少數著名墓園之一。其中石雕主要為巨匠蔣馨的傑作，石材、雕刻皆為一流精心之作，此外洗石子的技術與作品之精美，均令人讚嘆不已，而墓前兩邊的對聯、名人題字等亦具文史意義。目前陳中和柩靈已遷葬大社陳家墓園，原墓園具有棺壙、墓龜、墓山、墓埤、墓埕及墓手，墓前則有后土、土地公等台灣傳統墓園式樣，完整呈現巨墓形式，開放供人休憩觀賞。
English: This famous tomb is one of the few remaining tombs in Taiwan which were built during the Japanese Occupation. The stone carvings are the artwork of the great master, Jiang Sin; both the material used and craftsmanship are of the finest standard. In addition, the sophisticated washed-stone finish is also admirable. The couplet and celebrities’ writings in front of the tomb are also valuable for the history of literature.
Now, Chen’s coffin has been relocated to the Chen clan’s cemetery. In addition to tombstones, all sorts of traditional elements can be found in the cemetery. |
