中文（臺灣）：霄裡大池，在文獻記載上，是桃園擁有悠久歷史的埤塘。開拓於乾隆6年（1741），是淡水12社的凱達格蘭‧雷朗族‧霄裡社通事知母六，與客籍墾首薛啟隆共同開發霄裡大圳、洪圳、東圳、中圳，引溪水及當地豐富的湧泉，依地形所築造成的大埤塘，灌溉範圍包括番子寮、三塊厝、八塊厝、南興庄、棋盤厝、山腳庄遼闊的田園。知母六在乾隆年間擔任霄裡社通事，後改漢名蕭那英，是霄裡蕭氏家族的開基之祖。大池面積約6甲，海拔150公尺，高於霄裡、八德。 霄裡大池、霄裡大圳在北台灣的族群融合、文化發展、埤圳開拓上，都具有特殊的代表性意涵。霄裡大池，可說是桃園最具有代表性的一口埤塘，擁有相當重要的觀光潛力價值，也是一顆位處桃園心臟地帶無價的「水珠」。 |
