中文：中華民國駐澳大利亞代表李大維於10月8日晚間在澳洲國家美術館主持104年我國慶酒會，澳洲政要、友邦駐澳使節、智庫、工商界及僑界近400人出席同賀。

駐澳大利亞代表李大維首先致詞時感謝在場貴賓對於促進台澳關係的貢獻，過去一年來台澳關係持續穩定發展。
李大維說，雖然全球經濟面臨不景氣，台澳雙邊貿易額仍達116澳元，台灣目前是澳洲第12大貿易夥伴，超越英國、法國及義大利。
李大維進一步指出，台灣與澳洲的經濟互補性高，台灣每年自澳洲進口大量鐵礦砂與煤礦等能源，台灣對澳洲則是輸出優質的資通訊產品，今天在國慶酒會現場展出的華碩、宏碁及技嘉就是最佳代表。
李大維說，不只是經貿，台澳在教育方面的交流也有亮眼表現，澳洲政府近來大力推動新可倫坡計畫，今年已有53名澳洲學生到台灣研習，明年將有多達130名澳洲學生前往台灣，成長超過兩倍。
8月底剛率團訪歸的澳洲國會「外交國防暨貿易聯席委員會」外交小組主席史東博士(Sharman Stone)致詞時向賓客分享在台灣的所見所聞，並盛讚台灣在民主、教育及人道關懷之成就。
史東更進一步呼籲台澳應儘速洽簽自由貿易協定，以嘉惠澳洲酪農業與製酒業。
「澳臺工商委員會」主席馬樂施(Ross Maddock)也籲請澳洲新內閣支持台灣加入跨太平洋夥伴協定(TPP)。
反對黨影子內閣國防政務副部長柏德蔓(Gai Brodtmann)致詞時分享她在學生時代的訪台經驗，並期盼能再次訪問台灣，親身體驗雙十國慶的熱鬧盛況。
今年駐澳大利亞代表處國慶酒會特別強調台灣與澳洲的經貿聯結，除了華碩、宏碁、技嘉，中華航空、長榮航空及陽明海運也應邀於酒會現場展示台灣產品，廣受與會嘉賓歡迎。
