中文（臺灣）：本文藉由追查「萬枝調」的源起、發展、演變、沒落，從民間文學的角度，進行詞曲相關資料的採集與分析，並進一步探討詞曲衍伸出來的相關問題。
萬枝調是城市新興的歌謠，發跡於酒家，內容多以男女情事為主，甚至不乏淫意黃腔，故少被流傳，甚被輕視，以至於採集困難。在當時民國40至60年代農業社會氛圍中，其流傳具有滿足民眾對性的好奇與娛樂宣洩功能，故民眾才會私底下口耳相傳。值得注意的是，歌謠也呈現出社會問題，如女性在父權體系下遭受階級欺壓與性別欺壓的雙重剝削。在曲調本身，它從民間小曲到歌仔戲調，最後變為流行歌曲，反映出臺灣社會經濟從農業到工商業，從鄉村到城市的變化。從歌詞則從民間唸謠到文學作家改寫，呈現豐富的內容。從傳播來看，從酒家到唱片、電影等影音，擴散到全臺、日本、新加坡等地。 從上述可從「萬枝調」的內涵看到時代、社會、經濟、傳播方式的變遷，具體而微。 |
