Description
English: Church of Saint-François de Lavaur. The facade is gripped by the adjacent houses. Former conventual church of the Cordeliers (Franciscans) (13th-15th centuries), founded by Sicard, Baron d'Ambres. After the abolition of the convent, the church became a parish from 1802 to 1963. The building was classified as a historical monument in 1996. The 14th century portal with a statue of St Francis in the tympanum.
Français : Église Saint-François de Lavaur. La façade est prise en tenaille par les maisons adjacent. Ancienne église conventuelle des Cordeliers (Franciscains) (XIIIe-XVe siècles), fondée par Sicard, baron d'Ambres. Après la suppression du couvent, l'église devient paroissiale de 1802 à 1963. L'édifice a été classé au titre des monuments historiques en 1996. Le portail du XIVe avec, dans le tympan, une statue de St François.
Italiano: Chiesa di Saint-François de Lavaur. La facciata è stretta dalle case adiacenti. Ex chiesa conventuale dei Cordeliers (Francescani) (XIII-XV secolo), fondata da Sicard, barone d'Ambres. Dopo l'abolizione del convento, la chiesa divenne parrocchia dal 1802 al 1963. L'edificio è stato classificato monumento storico nel 1996. Il portale trecentesco con statua di San Francesco nel timpano.
This building is classé au titre des monuments historiques de la France. It is indexed in the base Mérimée, a database of architectural heritage maintained by the French Ministry of Culture, under the reference PA00095585 .
