Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Suryanarayan temple is a 12th century Hindu temple in Nirath village near Sutlej river in Himachal Pradesh. It was restored and rebuilt in the 16th-century by embedding ruins of the 12th-century into the temple. It is notable for its red sandstone, a mix of artwork from the 12th and 16th centuries, as well as similarities to an architecture and artwork style found in Odisha, east Chhattisgarh, south Jharkhand and northeast Andhra Pradesh.
