Description
Español: Mujeres, niñas y niños mocovíes traídos forzosamente del Chaco a Santa Fe por el Comandante Uriburu en el marco de las campañas militares que se organizaban con ese fin. La fotografía las y los retrata en la Casa del Carmen -calle San Jerónimo entre Moreno y Buenos Aires (hoy Monseñor Zaspe)-, a la espera de su relocalización en viviendas de las familias pudientes de la ciudad, Santa Fe, 1872. Autor: Pedro Tappa. Colección Clementino Paredes - Museo Histórico Provincial de Santa Fe. Transcripción epígrafe C. Paredes: "1872. Indios traídos del Chaco por el Comandante Uriburu. Alojados en la casa titulada del Carmen, situada en calle San Jerónimo entre Moreno y Buenos Aires. Hoy se encuentra edificada la casa de Da. Flavia Sanudo de Jobson."
