Summary[edit]

Description Soldiers from the 1-171st General Support Aviation Battalion exit the plane and are greeted by Brig. Gen. Joe Jarrard, Commander of the Georgia Army National Guard; Command Sgt. Maj. James Nelson, Jr., the state's Command Sergeant Major; Command Sgt. Maj. Ray; and Chapalin Andy Parker at their homecoming ceremony. The ceremony, held here at the Clay National Guard Center in Marietta, Ga., reunited 130 soldiers with their loved ones just before the Thanksgiving holiday. The unit conducted 3,500 flying missions during their one year deployment in Iraq.
