הערות: נִירִים קיבוץ בנגב הצפון מערבי. ע"ש גדוד ניר השומר הצעיר, שחלק מגרעינו הקימו. הקיבוץ התארגן ב 1946 בראשון לציון ושלח את ראשוני חבריו לגבולות. במוצאי יום הכיפורים 1946, במסגרת עליית 11 הנקודות לנגב הצפוני התיישבו במקומו הראשון של הקיבוץ שנקרא דנגור. קרב נירים התחולל בבוקר ה־15 במאי 1948, עם חיל המשלוח המצרי שפלש לשטחה הריבוני של מדינת ישראל מספר שעות לאחר הכרזת הקמתה במטרה לכבוש את הקיבוץ. חברי הקיבוץ עצרו את התקדמותם. בהפגזות נוספות נהרסו רוב מבני המקום. בתחילת 1949 עבר הקיבוץ למקומו הנוכחי.
