הערות: באר המושבה הממוקמת במרכז ראשון לציון היא הבאר הראשונה בה נמצאו מים במושבה. המייסדים שלחו את יוסף פיינברג לאירופה כדי לגייס את הברון רוטשילד לסייע כספית בחפירת הבאר. חפירת הבאר הסתיימה בפברואר 1883. ממעמקי הבאר (כ48 מ') עלתה הקריאה "מצאנו מים!" נחקקה בסמל העיר. במבנה שהוקם מעל הבאר הותקנה משאבת קיטור ולצדה הוקמו בריכה סגורה עם מים לשימוש ביתי ובריכה פתוחה כשוקת לבהמות וכבריכת שחייה, מגדל מים, בית מרחץ ומקווה. ב-1888 נחפרו תעלות השקיה מהבריכה הפתוחה אל שדה הניסויים ופרדס המושבה, שהיו בקרבת הבאר.
