Name: Afula - The Emek Hospital
Description: In December 1925, Yitzhak Kanev called for the construction of a new building for the hospital in Emek. In the same month, the Haifa Health Insurance Board decided that there was an urgent need to build a hospital building in the valley.

שם: עפולה - בית חולים העמק
תיאור: בדצמבר 1925 יצא יצחק קנב בקריאה להקמת בניין חדש לבית החולים בעמק. באותו חודש החליטה מועצת קופת חולים בחיפה שיש צורך דחוף בבניית בנין לבית חולים בעמק.
הערות: על מרכז קופת חולים בהתייעצות עם תושבי העמק הוטל לבחור מקום לבית החולים. כדי להתמודד עם הבעיה פנו אליעזר פרלסון, הירשוביץ ומשה סורוקה במכתב להנרייטה סולד והצליחו להביא אותה לתמוך ברעיון הקמת בית החולים. תמיכתה של סולד הביאה את הדסה, הג'וינט והסתדרות הרופאים העבריים באמריקה להקציב לבנייה 5,000 לא"י ואת קרן היסוד להקציב 3,000 לא"י, תרומת הקהילה היהודית בשאנגחאי.
