Name: Avrona farm
Description: A large agricultural farm that covered an area of about two thousand dunams. Agriculture on the farm was based on a water supply system from a nearby spring. The water system at the farm was based on a shallow well that was dug about two hundred meters away. The system dates back to the early Muslim period and is evidence of agricultural activity during this period.

תיאור: חווה חקלאית גדולה שהשתרעה על שטח בן כאלפיים דונם. החקלאות בחווה התבססה על מערכת הספקת מים ממעיין סמוך. מערכת המים בחווה התבססה על באר לא עמוקה שנחפרה במרחק כמאתיים מטר. המערכת מתוארכת לתקופה המוסלמית הקדומה ומהווה עדות, לפעילות החקלאית בתקופה זו.
הערות: חופרים העדיפו לחפור את הבאר הרדודה במרחק מה מהחווה ולא באר עמוקה בשטח החווה עצמה. המערכת כללה ניקבה חפורה, תעלות מים, בריכת אגירה ומגופים לוויסות והכוונת הספקת המים. שיטה זו נקראת בארות שרשרת - פוגרות'.בשנת 1950 הוקמה במקום תצפית חקלאית בשם עברונה מתוך מחשבה להקים שם מקום יישוב שיתבסס על חקלאות. המקום קרוב לגבול עם ירדן ומול שדה התעופה של עקבה. התוכנית להעתקת נמל התעופה של אילת לאזור עין עברונה סוכלה בשל התנגדות התושבים להרס המקום.(ויקיפדיה)
