Description

Last day of my short trip to Norway in September 2019 saw me cover the last two required lines west of Oslo. The first was the short branch from the now closed station at Hjuksebø on the Oslo to Stavanger line through to Notodden.

This is the 'original' Notodden station which closed between 2004 and 2015 when it was relocated to a station closure to the town centre and interchange with the bus terminal. The line from this 'original' Notodden station used to continue through to Tinnoset which lost its passenger service at the start of 1991.

Seen here on a wet 11 September 2019 is 3-car EMU BM69 set no. 69061 on train 2578, 11:51 Porsgrunn to Notodden.
