תיאור: מבנה ציבורי רומי ששימש למופעי בידור ותרבות לקהל הרחב-
הערות: בית שאן-אתר ארכיאולוגי רב-תקופתי בתחומי העיר -בתל שכנה העיר המקראית והטרום מקראית- וממערב לה העיר הרומית ביזנטית המפוארת שנימנתה על עשר ערי הדקפוליס. נהרסה כליל ברעידת האדמה ב-749 ומאז לא שוקמה. היתה ישוב קטן בתקופה הצלבנית העות'מנית והמנדט. החלה כמעברה ב1949 וברבות השנים הפכה לעיר המונה כ-20.000 נפש.
