הערות: הקיבוץ הוקם בשנת 1952 על ידי חברי הקיבוצים גבעת השלושה ורמת הכובש שפרשו מקיבוציהם בעקבות הפילוג בקיבוץ המאוחד. עוד בסוף שנת 1950 הודיעו חברי מפא"י בגבעת השלושה, שהיו מיעוט בקיבוץ שבעת המעבר לאדמות הקיבוץ בנזלה, הם דורשים לנצל את ההזדמנות כדי לפצל את הקיבוץ ולהקים שתי נקודות. למרות התנגדות חברי מפ"ם בקיבוץ ובתנועת הקיבוץ המאוחד, הפיצול התרחש ובתחילת אפריל 1952 הונחה אבן הפינה לקיבוץ החדש.בגלל הצטרפות לקיבוץ של פורשי מפא"י מרמת הכובש. ועדת השמות הממשלתית העניקה לקיבוץ את השם עינת,(ויקיפדיה)
