Description
English:
Name: Beit Alpha Synagogue
Description: The synagogue was discovered at the end of 1928 and excavated at the beginning of 1929. The excavation findings were published in a survey in 1932. Another survey was conducted in 1962 by the Antiquities Authority. In the excavation and uncovering of the mosaic floor, remains of an earlier synagogue building were discovered, probably from the 5th century AD.

תיאור: ית הכנסת התגלה בסוף 1928 ונחפר בתחילת 1929. ממצאי החפירה פורסמו בסקר בשנת 1932. סקר נוסף נערך בשנת 1962 על ידי רשות העתיקות. בחפירה ובחשיפת רצפת הפסיפס התגלו שרידים של מבנה בית כנסת קדום יותר, כנראה מהמאה ה-5 לספירה.
