| Description |
English: Arriva Trains Wales class 143 Pacer diesel multiple-unit (DMU) numbers 143607 (55648 and 55673) and 143625 (55666 and 55691) works 2A24 Bridgend to Aberdare (despite the destination board on the back saying Bridgend via Rhoose) on 9 April 2015. Both 143607 and 143625 will be retired by 1 January 2020 for not meeting the needs of disabled people as required by The Rail Vehicle Accessibility (Interoperable Rail System) Regulations 2008. The old bridge can be seen beneath the new one currently under construction. The old bridge will be removed as soon as the new bridge is complete, the additional height clearance being used for the overhead lines as electrification reaches the valley lines.
