[edit]Description16th Quartermaster Squadron.jpg |
English: Distinctive unit insignia for the 16th Quartermaster Squadron.
The insignia is the shield of the First Cavalry Division Train. Buff is the color traditionally associated with the Quartermaster Corps, while yellow and blue refer to the affiliation with the 1st Cavalry Division. The pack mule and wagon wheel represent methods of past and present transport utilized by the organization. The distinctive unit insignia was originally approved for the First Cavalry Division Train, Quartermaster Corps on 14 February 1925. It was redesignated for the 16th Quartermaster Squadron effective 1 April 1936. The insignia was rescinded on 1 April 1958. |
