Description
Deutsch: Ganzkörper-Porträt eines noch unidentifizierten Meisters aus dem 17. Jahrhundert mit dem Bildnis des evangelischen Theologen Hilmar Deichmann, 1625 als Sohn eines Drechslers in Hannover geboren. Nach seinem Studium war Deichmann acht Jahre lang oberster Lehrer an der Stadtschule (heute: Schiller-Gymnasium Hameln), arbeitete dann rund 6 Jahre als Pfarrer in Groß Berkel, wurde 1661 Pastor an der Aegidienkirche und 1670 an der Marktkirche St. Jacobi u. Georgii zu Hannover. Die aus vier Brettern zusammengesetzte Eichentafel zeigt - neben dem Wappen der Familie - unten mittig die lateinische Inschrift:

„PL. REVEREND. ET DOCTISSIM., m: HILMARUS DEICHMANNUS NATUS HANNO.. / VERE ANNO. M.DCXXV.d. xXX. MARTŸ. VOCATUS CONRECTOR, ET POSTANNUMRE, / CTOR SCHOLAE HAMELENSI AB ANNO MDC.LI. OCTO ANNOS PRAEFUIT. HINC BOR / KELENSI PASTORATUFIDELITER FUNCTUS BIENNIUM, AD.S. AEGIDŸ ECCLESIAM / INHATBIAMBRE VOCATUR ANNO M.DC.LXI. E QUAAD S.S. GEORGŸ ET IACOBI DIAECESIM / ACCERSITUR ANNO M.DC.LXX. DENATUS ANNO MDCLXXIV. D.V.OCTÆTATIS. XLIX.“

Das Gemälde mit dem original zum Tafelbild gehörigen Bilderrahmen ist Eigentum der Evangelisch-lutherischen Landeskirche Hannovers und findet sich nach einer aufwendigen Restaurierung im Jahr 2008 an einer Seitenwand über der Orgel-/Chor-Empore der Marktkirche zu Hannover. Das hier gezeigte Foto wurde aufgrund von Lichtreflektionen ursprünglich von der Seite aufgenommen, mit dem freien und kostenlos herunterladbaren Fotobearbeitungsprogramm GIMP perspektivisch"entzerrt" und anschließend mit dem Bildbearbeitungsprogramm Adobe Photoshop Elements im Kontrast verbessert. Zukünftig sollte von Anfang an ein besser ausgeleuchtetes Foto in höherer Auflösung aufgenommen werden. Eine schriftliche Dokumentation mit Details insbesondere zu den einzelnen Restaurierungs-Verfahren des Gemäldes (sowie mit leicht abweichender Abschrift der lateinischen Texte) hält die Kirchenpädagogin der Marktkirche, Marion Wrede vor ...
