Las ocho de la mañana marcaron el inicio del recorrido del viernes santo, esa caminata en la que miles de feligreses se reúnen para ver pasar la representación del pasaje bíblico que más impacto e importancia tiene para los colonos iztapalapenses: “la pasión de Cristo”.

Luis, un joven de 17 años camina con quienes representan a los romanos (todos de la misma edad), al parecer, la mayoría de los participantes de esta procesión son jóvenes.

“Estoy aquí porque le prometí una manda al señor de la cuevita, él me ayudó con unos problemas y por eso estoy aquí”, señaló Luis que comenzaba su peregrinar.
