"L'èxit d'aquest model fa que n'hi hagi nombroses reproduccions en bronze de mides diferents, molt repartides en col-leccions públiques i privades." (see bibliography) – Translation : The popularity of this statue led to numerous bronze reproductions of different sizes, widely distributed in public and private collections.

The Timbaler del Bruc, personified by Isidre Lluçà i Casanoves (1791, March 14 – 1809, April 6), was – and still is – a symbol of the resistance of a nation to an enemy, which was then the French (napoléonic) régime that occupied and subjected Spain from 1808 until it was ousted in 1814.
