Description
Deutsch: Um 1898 im Verlag Schneider & Dietrich in Hannover produzierte Ansichtskarte mit einer Vielfarb-Lithografie und der Künstlersignatur von George Müller. Auf der am 15. Januar 1899 im freigelassenen Nachrichtenfeld beschrifteten Karte ist der Blick am Kröpcke von der Bahnhofstraße in die Karmarschstraße dargestellt sowie die Situation an den Ecken zur Georgstraße. Links hinter einem Einzelwagen der bereits elektrifizierten hannoverschen Straßenbahn ist das Hotel Continental zu sehen (wo später das Kröpcke-Center errichtet wurde), rechts davon das Eckgebäude des ehemaligen Tapetenanbieters im Haus Brakebusch, dessen Platz später das Europa-Haus einnehmen sollte. Im Hintergrund schaut der Turm der Marktkirche über den Dächern hervor. Die mehr als ein Jahrhundert alte Karte wurde an den Seiten von einem Bücherwurm angefressen ...
