中文（臺灣）：此張照片為1930年代從花蓮港神社俯瞰花蓮市的景象，花蓮港神社於大正五年（1916）建於花蓮港市米崙山（今花蓮市美崙山），供奉天照大神、北白川宮能久親王及開拓三神，花蓮港神社供奉當時花蓮港廳神格最高的神祇，通過橋樑爬上石階，往下俯瞰，即可清楚地看到花蓮市的街區，這就是為何花蓮港神社選擇興建於此的原因。日治時期台灣神社的選址有特別的空間特性，選址時會考量興建於何處才能有莊嚴肅穆且令百姓崇敬的氛圍，根據大正13年（1924）的法令「神社及社處理的相關要件」，其一神社的創設地點要遠離原來就有的市街地，其二社域要選定清淨地並在周圍植林。花蓮港神社的位置即符合以上條件。照片提供：邱上林。 |
