Summary[edit]

Description
English: This is a Soap Box Derby racer from 1954, designed, built and raced by Denny Zimmerman, who won the Hartford, Connecticut local race. His achievement allowing him to move on to the All-American World Championship in Akron, Ohio later that summer. As an adult, Denny raced professionally, competing in the USAC Championship Car series in 1968, 1969, 1971 and 1972, with 16 starts, including two entries at the Indianapolis 500. In 1971 he finished 8th at Indy, earning Rookie of the Year.
