Virgin Mary. It was his pleasure to attend mass daily at 7:00 a.m. At the age of 84 he suffered a massive stroke, was paralyzed on his right side, and confined to a nursing home bed for five years until his death.
Once a skilled architect with the most meticulous of renderings, he could no longer enjoy even writing a letter.
Jose de Ocampo passed away of natural causes on September 25, 1995, at the age of 89, at Mills Memorial Hospital in San Mateo, California, with his family by his side.
