| Description |
An extensive facelift on the XT; new grille and taillights, most exterior panels changed and a new interior. The GTs engine size was increased to 351 cu in and got more in your face styling with bolder stripes, hood scoop and blacked out bonnet. An even higher performance GT was made available, the GTHO, to make sure it won the race at Bathurst. In January 1970, the Windsor 351 was dropped in favour of the new Cleveland 351. A Ford was back on the podium at Bathurst in 1970 with Allan Moffat and a Cleveland powered XW GTHO phase II winning the Hardie Ferodo 500. 505 GTs and GTHOs made in Candy Apple Red 351 Windsors June 69- Jan 70 351 Clevelands Jan 70- Oct 70 Total 2287 GTs and 662 GTHOs |
