Description

Mercury Silver The all new fully Australian designed and built Valiant. It was a larger car and more rounded than the VG, the grille heavily influenced by its US counterparts. A more powerful 265 cu in hemi 6 was introduced. Only a 4 door Pacer was available, until it was replaced by the new 2 door short wheelbase 'Charger' coupe, taking up the sporty roll which are very collectible today especially the 4 speed E49 RT version. Built from June 1972-May 1973, Replaced E38.

E49 Engine; 302 bhp 265 Hemi 6, 6 pack, (triple side-draught Weber 2BBL carburettors); 4 speed. (more power than E38 and E38 got 3 speed)
