Description
Français : Ligne Paris-Limoges-Toulouse franchissant la Creuse à Argenton (36). La gare de la localité se trouve environ 1 km au nord, après une courbe.

A proximité a lieu, en pleine nuit, une dramatique collision entre 2 trains fin d'été 85. Une rame descendant vers les Pyrénées, abordant une zone de travaux à allure excessive, déraille au moment où un convoi postal remonte sur la capitale. L'impact fait de nombreuses victimes et conclut une série noire pour la SNCF, dont le PDG quitte volontairement son poste suite aux événements.

Un monument rappelle la tragédie, plus commémorée officiellement depuis quelques années à la demande des familles, encore traumatisées 40 ans après les faits... aucune cérémonie ne peut apaiser certaines douleurs.
