English: Division by zero on Galculator ([LXDE] calculator) shows "inf" (infinity). — However, note that the equation x*0=1 cannot have any solution at all (not even "inf") in any however extended nontrivial number system satisfying the associativity law, since else 1=x*0=x*(0*n)=(x*0)*n=1*n=n, for arbitrary n. |
