Description
Afrikaans: Mielies is in 2-ry stroke geplant, wat onkruid (hoofsaaklik grasse) gelaat het om tussen die stroke te groei. In die laat somer is die onkruidstroke met onkruiddoder gespuit, en droëbone word in die gevolglike deklaag geplant. Plantlyne word hier vir die bone gespan. Hlokozi, KwaZulu-Natal.
English: Maize was planted in 2-row strips, leaving weeds (mainly grasses) to grow between the strips. In late summer, the weedy strips were sprayed with herbicide, and dry beans were planted in the resulting mulch. Planting lines for the beans are shown. Hlokozi, KwaZulu-Natal.
