Summary[edit]
Description2008 Democratic Primaries Popular Vote.png | Popular Vote Margins by State, US Democratic Presidential Primaries and Caucuses 2008 |
Date | 3/6/2008 |
Source | I made this map. Uses the popular vote count at RealClearPolitics and wikipedia data based on popular vote. Should be used in articles in such a way that acknowledges that popular vote and delegate count winners were different in several states (TX, NV, MO, NH, GU). An alternate map exists depicting winners by delegate count. Asterisks mark the disputed primaries of Florida and Michigan, which were originally nullified by the DNC and later had their votes restored. [Later note from another editor: This map includes states with caucuses. There are sometimes difficulties in determining popular votes in such states, but RealClearPolitics makes estimates that were used here.] |
