Summary[edit]

Description
English: New direction signs erected at Penryn railway station, Cornwall, as part of enhancement work on the Maritime Line. For many years the station had only one platform used by trains in both directions but in 2009 the platform was lengthened and a passing loop installed. Trains travelling towards Truro run straight past the left hand end of the platform into the right hand one. While a train is stopped at the right hand end, another train can pass through the loop to the left hand end where it stops on its way towards Falmouth, the terminus of the line.
