English: This bar graph displays the overall 2010 Auto Reliability Grade Point Averages (GPAs) for the major automobile lines (brands, marques) sold in North America. The 2010 Auto Reliability GPAs of each model offering the requisite data is computed for four 4-year age ranges - 0 to 4 years old, 2 to 6 years old, 4 to 8 years old, and 6 to 10 years old - by first converting Consumer Reports' ratings of "Much Better Than Average," "Better Than Average," "Average," "Worse Than Average," and "Much Worse Than Average" to grade points 4, 3, 2, 1, and 0, respectively, and then taking an average over the four age ranges. The overall 2010 Auto Reliability GPA of a line (brand, marque) is an average of the overall 2010 Auto Reliability GPAs of the models within the line that offer the required data.
