Description
Deutsch: Am 1. April 2014 lud die Gewerkschaft ver.di zur Gedenkveranstaltung zum 81. Jahrestag der Besetzung des hannoverschen Gewerkschaftshauses, dem heutigen Tiedthof in Hannover. Damit erinnerte sie daran, daß die SA am 1. Apri 1933 das ehemalige Gewerkschaftshaus an der Nikolaistraße 7 (heute, Stand 04/2014: Goseriede 4): Das zum Gedenken verteilte Flugblatt erläutert:

„Die Anwesenden wurden im Hof zusammen getrieben, misshandelt und 25 von ihnen von der SS ‚verhaftet’. Die Besetzung des Gewerkschaftshauses war in Hannover das sichtbare Zeichen der Zerschlagung der freien Gewerkschaften durch die Nationalsozialisten, die mit Beginn des Jahres 1933 systematisch überall in Deutschland begonnen hatte. Am 2. Mai wurden die Gewerkschaften verboten ...“
