Description
Deutsch: {Zur 200sten Wiederkehr der Schlacht bei Waterloo (18. Juni 1815) hatte der Welfenbund e.V. zu einer Gedenkveranstaltung am 20. Juni 2015 an der Waterloosäule auf dem Waterlooplatz in Hannover geladen. An der Feierlichkeit mit Kranzniederlegung und musikalischer Umrahmung nahmen unter anderem auch Vertreter der Royal British Legion Hannover Branch e.V. teil, ferner die Schützenbruderschaft Das große Freie, die Freiwillige Feuerwehr Barfelde, Spielleute vom Musikzug der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr Bethel und Rheden sowie Vertreter der Loge Wilhelm zur Deutschen Treue. Nach der Gedenkrede für die Gefallenen und Getöteten dieser Schlacht legten der Vorsitzende des Welfenbund e.V., Herr Matthias Reinecke, und der Schatzmeister des Welfenbund e.V., Herr Christoph Kahnert, einen Kranz am Denkmal nieder. Im Anschluss an die Gedenkveranstaltung lud der Welfenbund e.V. noch zu einem Umtrunk mit Kanapees auf dem Waterlooplatz. Ferner hatten die Anwesenden die Möglichkeit die Waterloosäule zu besteigen ...
