Summary[edit]

Description
English: Canyonlands National Park in southeast Utah is another vast landscape (527 sq mi/1366 sq km) of canyons and majestic buttes formed by the Colorado River and its tributaries. The park is divided into four districts, Island in the Sky, The Needles, The Maze, and the rivers themselves. Each is part of a primitive desert, with unique features. The park is located near the town of Moab and is on the western side of U.S. Highway 191 from Arches National Park. Some stone and mud houses of the ancient Puebloans are located in the park.
